The arepa of those who know about traditions
The budare or comal is a cast iron plate traditionally used to cook arepas.
It is the original instrument used by the Comanagotos tribe, in eastern Venezuela, and now continues to be used in Venezuelan homes by lovers of traditions and the authentic flavor of the Venezuelan arepa.
Unlike classic budares, the arepa corn dough will no longer stick to the surface of our modern budares, thanks to the non-stick materials with which they are coated and which make it more efficient than before.
Arepa is one of the most traditional dishes of Venezuelan cuisine. Inside its crunchy dough there is room for as many fillings as a person can imagine, that is why those who know how to enjoy this dish prefer its traditional elaboration.
This historical budare is ideal to use both in vitroceramic, induction, halogen cookers, as well as in gas cookers.
Erreke has taken as inspiration the classic Venezuelan budare to design this new version available in the European market, offering a solution for people who want to prepare their arepas in the most traditional way; but with the comforts of today.
